I wonder that as well. Assuming CERES assigned these affects on an individual basis, then there's reason to believe that it isn't random.

[ She at least knows why she would have her eyesight affected. After all, it's what a detective relies on. So if CERES is doing this with a purpose behind it, then it makes sense. ]
