While I am still able to see, it seems that my vision has become fuzzy. The details on most objects are hard to make out. I can still see them, of course, but it feels as if I suddenly need glasses.

I wonder that as well. Assuming CERES assigned these affects on an individual basis, then there's reason to believe that it isn't random.
