"Hey, you've reached Naegi Makoto. I'm sorry, but I can't answer right now. If you leave a message I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can. Please take care!" VOICE | TEXT | VIDEO | ACTION
[ She hears the tiredness in his voice and it's obvious he didn't sleep. Hopefully it doesn't get worse (too bad it will). ]
While I am still able to see, it seems that my vision has become fuzzy. The details on most objects are hard to make out. I can still see them, of course, but it feels as if I suddenly need glasses.
[ Well, okay, that's not as bad as it could be...needing glasses isn't immediately dangerous. But what if she's going blind or something...? No, thinking like that won't help. ]
Just the details? [ And even though it could be worse, that...well, that's actually something that would bother Kirigiri more than other things might, isn't it? Details are important to her. ] How weird...oh, a long while after I called you the other night, I called Hinata-kun. He hears what I'm hearing, too.
[ That's all he learned overnight. ]
He said Komaeda-kun is cold to the touch, too...?
[ Since he has no idea what he can do to help her about the seeing problem, he does what he figures will help most: shares what little he picked up in a sleep-deprived conversation with the other protagonist. Deets tend to make Kirigiri a happier person. ]
[ Yes, they do and they're already making her feel better. She actually feels relieved, because it's not just Naegi and her. ]
As I suspected... It's widespread. [ But not everyone is experiencing the same thing, which is strange. Kyouko's sight, Naegi and Hinata's hearing, Komaeda is cold to the touch.
Wait. ]
...I wonder if others are having trouble with their taste and smell as well.
[ There's a pause, because that seems like a non-sequitur at first when he hadn't said anything about taste or smell, but then -
And this is why she's the SHSL Detective. Naegi can't help but smile when it clicks. ]
You mean you think it's based on the five senses? Whatever "it" is...I haven't heard about anything related to taste or smell, but I'll keep an eye out.
I wonder that as well. Assuming CERES assigned these affects on an individual basis, then there's reason to believe that it isn't random.
[ She at least knows why she would have her eyesight affected. After all, it's what a detective relies on. So if CERES is doing this with a purpose behind it, then it makes sense. ]
Can you think of a reason why they would target your hearing?
[ Splitting up the others and meeting up to discuss later, he means. ]
As to my hearing... [ He can guess the reason of her sight, too - already has. Details matter to her. But why would "hearing" be important to him? ] ...well, I guess listening to others is as important to me as looking for the details might be to you. But I don't know if that's the sort of connection that we're looking for here or not.

[ But this place isn't known for making sense, so this theory may not even be correct. Still, it's definitely possible. ]

I wonder if whichever thing we've got is assigned randomly? Or if there's some sort of reason behind it.

By the way... Has your condition gotten worse, Naegi-kun?

[ :C ]

...Presumably these won't last forever, so...

[ She sighs. This is really annoying. ]
It should at least last a couple of days, going by previous incidents.

[ SADLY SHE CAN'T SLEEP FOR HIM but hey at least neither of them is failing to breathe like Togami ]
voice;
[ It most definitely could be worse. ]

[ no one in their class got off easy but at least no one died ]
